In the lifting tackle and towing industry, the name McKissick has stood for quality for almost 80 years.  McKissick, a part of The Crosby Group since 1959, is one of the world's largest producers of blocks and their commitment to quality is unmatched.  The 416 and 434 (Larger Size) series blocks are made entirely of heat treated alloy steel.  Use of heat treated alloy gives the block only 60% of the weight of blocks of comparable capacities.  Standard features are bronze bushings, easy opening mechanism and pressure lube fitting.  Strong block.... light weight.  Painted orange.  Supplied with hook latch.

*Working Load Limit (W.L.L.): The maximum load or force which should ever be applied to the product.  The long standing federal standards on slings, regulated by O.S.H.A. uses a typical design factor of 5 to 1; that is a resultant working load limit of 20%, of the assembly minimum break strength. (may vary on some products. ex. Alloy Chain uses a 4 to 1 factor) The newly written C.V.S.A. standards on tiedowns enforced by the D.O.T. use a typical design factor of 3 to 1; that is a resultant working load limit of 33% of the assembly minimum break strength.
